Fishers, Indiana, a Midwest community synonymous with balancing growth and progress, has seen an influx of commercial and residential migration over the past 10 years.

A diverse and well-educated population, a school system second to none in Indiana, and one of the best parks and recreation programs in the state all make Fishers one of the best places to live in America.

HOMEOWNER SECURITY NOTICE

The board has been notified of an incident in the community known as "garage hopping". A Gray Eagle homeowner recently had his barbeque grill stolen out of his garage. After contacting the Fishers police, the grill was recovered along with a leaf blower at a residence in the neighboring community, Sandstone.

The act of "Garage Hopping" is driving through communities and finding homeowners who have left their garage doors open. Items are stolen from the garage, and the items are usually taken to another surrounding community and sold out of the back of the truck. (in this case, a red Ford 150 pick up truck).

As a precaution, and to prevent this activity in our community we ask that you please do not leave your garage door open. Please report anyone that looks suspicious to the Fishers Police Dept. Please do not buy merchandise from the back of a truck or car, and if someone approaches you to buy something, please report them to the Fishers Police Department.

Please keep vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
